In our kindergarten, the most important processes take place during independent Montessori work time, circle meetings (both in Polish and English), during individual Montessori material presentations conducted by teachers, outdoor playtime, bilingual conversations during meals, and also during free play or relaxation with books.
To enrich the afternoon program and provide children with opportunities to develop their passions and interests, we have introduced several optional extra-curricular activities. The selection may change each school year, but you can almost always expect your child to be able to participate in the following activities, led by experienced instructors who align with our philosophy:
INDIVIDUAL SPEECH THERAPY conducted by Mrs. Dagmara, the deputy director of our kindergarten. Dagmara is a neurologopedist with many years of experience working with children and achieves excellent results while being beloved by the children.
SOCIAL SKILLS TRAINING (TUS), conducted by our properly trained staff and adapted to our standards (without behavioral incentives). This training is useful for children on the autism spectrum, as well as those who want to feel more confident and navigate social codes and conventions more effectively. It helps them gain awareness of how different behaviors are perceived by others, thus facilitating interactions with peers and adults.
BALL SPORTS CLASSES (known as Kangaroo Team), dynamic and all-round sports activities led by an athlete from the Academy of Physical Education. These classes are excellent for children with high energy levels and a great need for movement, as well as those who may have some difficulties with gross motor skills and coordination.
DANCE, providing a wonderful opportunity for emotional expression through movement, a sense of the whole body, and sensitivity to music. Each year, children have the chance to perform on a real stage with a dance program prepared during the classes.
CHILDREN’S YOGA, led by a certified yoga teacher. It allows stretching, strengthening muscles, relaxation, and also enhances body awareness through conscious breathing and relaxation techniques. It is an excellent exercise for mindfulness, understanding the body, and focus.
KARATE FOR CHILDREN, undoubtedly active and all-round activities that strengthen the body, but also incorporate elements of Japanese culture and promote fair play. These classes are led by an experienced sensei who is adored by children and young people in Warsaw and is the founder of the Kyokushin Karate “Young Lions” School.
CHESS, the best training for the mind, promoting logical thinking, developing mathematical skills, and providing a lot of satisfaction. Our children love chess classes with Mr. Mateusz and play with great passion.
INDIVIDUAL PIANO LESSONS, a perfect opportunity to acquire a new skill, develop artistic abilities, and appreciate the beauty of classical music.
SCIENCE IN ENGLISH, offering more English learning and incorporating some scientific knowledge. Andrew, our Canadian friend, and the children conduct various scientific experiments while talking and discussing solely in English.
CALLIGRAPHY, teaching the art of beautifully forming letters, connecting them, and finding joy in writing while expressing emotions. This somewhat forgotten and therefore rare and even somewhat elitist skill is taught using ink, pens, beautiful paper. The classes develop fine motor skills and aesthetic sense while also providing relaxation.
MELODY AND COLORS, artistic activities accompanied by music. Children who are always creatively eager and love to create with their own hands have the opportunity for creative expression with relaxing classical music.
